The hosts, Oscar and Karen, were superbly welcoming and friendly. Our favourite stay in all of Costa Rica! Quiet clean rooms with comfortable beds, individual A/C in our room, private bathroom and good shower. Safe and private. Well-equipped kitchen and a delightful covered patio to relax. We spotted a variety of birds, iguana, and a far off monkey from there. Easy walk to stores, restaurants, the boat dock, and the Tortuguero National Park. Oscar has his on boat with a quiet trolling motor, and he gave us an early morning boat tour of the National Park canals. He’s wonderful guide at spotting wildlife- many birds, spider monkeys, caiman, lizards.

We spent only 1 night to do a night tour. The room was very nice, super clean, with AC, which was so important as it was too hot outside. The house is just in front of the sea so you can hear at night the sound of the waves, it was so relaxing. Also, in the room there were coffee, tea, and some candies. We really loved our stay here. Very good value for money. I really enjoyed my room and the surroundings (the hammock, the pool, the terrace). The owner was super-friendly and very helpful.
