Great location, less than 5 minutes to the ferry. We arrived at 3am and had arranged for someone to pick us up and a private boat through the guesthouse. All went perfectly. They helped us arrange tours as well! Great air con, wifi, breakfast was nice, you can get food from a local cafe delivered and the staff were helpful.

The guest house ran by Mohammed was absolutely perfect. The room was very clean and large, the shower was hot and powerful, the beds were comfortable. Mohammed is an excellent owner who helped organise our trip to Abu Simbel for a fair price and zero hassle. He speaks good English and is very friendly. He was able to answer all our questions and make good unbiased recommendations. It's located in a very safe Nubian area, the local people are some of the kindest I have ever met. I dropped my wallet and didn't notice until the next day, incredibly it was returned to me via Mohammed with all the cash still inside! My great thanks to both the woman that returned it and to Mohammed for liaising with her. The guest house is only 1 minute walk from the public ferry which runs all day/evening and is very reasonable at 10 Egyptian pounds each way. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Aswan.

The restaurant at the guest house specialises in African cuisine, and is open for dinner and lunch.

Pros: - It's next to the Nile! - The rooms that were right smack to the Nile come with cozy, sunny balcony. You could see felucca passed by, which was magical - Their staff, always helpful and friendly. We had a 20kg luggage each and they helped us willingly :)

Situated within 23 km of Aga Khan Mausoleum and less than 1 km of Nubian Museum, Nile View Guest House features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Aswan. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace. Rooms have a patio with sea views.

Perfect romantic location right next to the Nile river. Far away from Egypt's street noise. It has a rural feel, which is exactly what we looked for. The property is exactly as shown in the pictures and the view to the river is breathtaking. Very comfortable beds, typical hearty and delicious Egyptian breakfast (the best we've had in Egypt). Ahmed is extremely kind, welcoming and very funny. He picked us up from the airport even at midnight. He also organized at reasonable prices a private boat trip to the Botanical garden and Nubian village (he even demonstrated his Nubian braveness by holding a crocodile). He is very honest and it's best to ask him to organize tours because he gives attractive offers, much better than the tour agencies. It is the perfect place to immerse yourselves in the traditional Nubian culture and way of life. Right next to the guest house is a "Kafana cafe", where you can enjoy delicious and freshly prepared food with a stunning view to the Nile. If we ever visit Aswan again, we will undoubtedly pick Ahmed's guest house and we definitely recommend that you do so as well. You won't regret it!

The owner was really nice, always prepared a nice breakfast during our stay and helped us getting nice tours with fair prices. The place was well located in the more quiet Elephantine Island, right next to the boat (that costs 10 pounds) and close to restaurants run by other members of the family, which have delicious food.

This was our little home away from home. After all the busyness and bartering in the adventure that Egypt is, it was so nice to jump on the local ferry to the island and be surrounded by such kind and relaxed people. The room was big clean and very comfortable. Aircon and a large ceiling fan worked wonders against the heat. Also provided tours for everything you could imagine, bookable on arrival. Very easy.

The host was amazingly friendly, even inviting us to his nieces engagement party while we were there and we got to experience some authentic Nubian food! The location is great, much quieter than staying on the east bank but also just a short and very cheap ferry ride over to the hustle and bustle. The room was nice and clean with a bathroom, ceiling fan, heaps of cupboard space, supplied towels and a really comfy bed. Would definitely reccomend!

Perfect in every way. Marta and Osama are kind and generous hosts, helping us out and extremely responsive on WhatsApp. The room is beautiful, clean, with a good shower and comfortable bed. The rooftop looks over the quieter side of Elefantine and is great for breakfast or a beer in the morning. The ferry is close, regular, cheap, and easy, and the island also has the Aswan Museum and ruins of Abu within easy walking distance. There are some nice restaurants close by too. The best place we’ve stayed in Egypt and we were very sad to leave!

This is a lovely, quaint guest house on the quiet side of Elephantine. We loved how peaceful it was and away from the hustle and bustle of the town: Mohammed and Basser were very accommodating hosts throughout the stay. A highlight being we got to go on Mohammed’s boat for a sunset journey on the Nile. Highly recommend!

Great location next to the Nile and 5 minutes on foot from the ferry. Also very nice rooftop to chill by the river. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Ahmed is a great host, we were able to take our breakfast in a bag when we had to leave at 4am. He can also organize a trip to Abu Simbel at a reasonable price.

This is a great location, easy to access from the elephantine ferry boat port for a cheap ride and short walk. nice and peaceful. great host who is very helpful and organised felucca rides, boat rides and trip to Abu Simbel for us. there is a wee restaurant next door with yummy food - it takes a while to cook but is a nice relaxing atmosphere. breakfast is decent enough and served on the rooftop. the host is Nubian and the house is in a Nubian village.
