There is a great deal to see and to do in the area at any time of the year though you really need your own transport, either motor or bicycle. Some of the chateaux can be expensive to visit so look out for family tickets and ‘twin’ tickets, for example joint tickets to Angers and Azay le Rideau castles. If you are travelling with a pet the vet’s practice of Dr. Andre Mitteault is recommended.
