Warm, contemporary and attractive, Chestnut House is run by your hosts, Toni and Dawn, who pride themselves on offering superb hospitality in a romantic and relaxing atmosphere. With just 5 rooms, you can be sure of a friendly, personal service and a warm welcome.

The B&B is ideally located within walking distance of the key sites, yet removed enough from the centre to provide a quiet spot to relax after a day of site seeing. The room was very comfortable, clean & beautifully decorated. However, what makes Chestnuts exceptional is the delightful host, Toni, & thoughtful touches such as the homemade sweet treats left in the room each day. It was lovely to have a small piece of cake with a cup of tea. It was also nice that there was fresh milk in the fridge. The breakfasts were extraordinary & among the best I have ever had at a hotel or B&B. I was surprised by the choice on the menu, allowing for something different each morning (e.g. delicious full English, eggs Royal with smoked salmon, eggs Florentine). Toni was easy to communicate with, prompt in responding to queries in advance of arrival & a wonderful host. It was a fantastic experience & we very much look forward to a future opportunity to stay at Chestnuts B&B again.

Great place to stay! Comfortable, warm, has everything you need. Very clean. Host was so kind. Easy to find! Good walk up a hill to get to it from the city centre but it’s close enough and cheap enough in a taxi back and forth to the centre.

Very basic accommodation and service, but that's what makes it so cheap. If you're just after a clean bed in a great location this is for you. There's no reception, just a set of keys waiting for you as you arrive. Location is perfect, just behind the Rec and within 2 mins walk to the river and the city centre. Rooms look like up market student accommodation, but that's a good thing - nothing superfluous, all very clean and tidy and just the basics - no need to pay for anything you don't need. Would definitely stay again

We had a lovely weekend staying at Ivy cottage. It was cosy, clean and a perfect base from which to explore bath. Added bonus was the bus stop into the city centre was only a few steps from the front door! Beds were SUPER comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with the essentials. Rebal was a great host, always on hand to answer our questions. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The studio was very clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. It was warm inside but an electric fan is provided. The complimentary crips, soft drinks, coffee and tea in the kitchenette was a nice touch. The building was super quiet. Great location. Everything was accessible by walk (city centre, shops, restaurants, tourist attractions...). The staff was friendly and welcoming. Good value for money. I recommend this place.
