Vintage and I’m told it’s the second oldest pub in England dating back to 13th century

Great receptionist who knew directly how to respectfully deal with several people walking into the hostel wanting to register their arrival at the same time. That same receptionist could also explain exactly how I needed to walk to a certain location in the city centre. I had a nice time meeting people from all over the world in the lounge and in my room. The hostel is in a quiet street, so I could sleep really well.

Great location. It busy and noisy due to it being in a lively city centre but I’d rather have that and be in the middle of everything! Walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants etc, couldn’t have got a better location really. Really good communication from the host, friendly and polite. Good facilities; had everything we needed. Clean, comfy.

Just what we needed. We were staying overnight to pick up an early coach to Glastonbury the next morning. The apartment was a comfortable walk (even with our large rucksacks and tents) from New Street Station and an equally comfortable walk to the coach stop. Nice location, plenty of choices of places to eat and drink. Very quiet, especially given its city centre location. Comfortable bed. And the chocolates were very welcome! Oh and the host was very accommodating of our early morning departure.
