We loved absolutely everything! As a huge Beatrix Potter fan it was amazing to stay in an actual cottage that was featured in a few of her books. The historical factor, how pretty the cottage is both inside and out, the décoré, the location! It was all so beautiful- not a single fault to be had. And Robert, the fantastic owner, is one in a million.

Great location, short walk to centre of Hawkshead, the torches were appreciated for walking back in the dark at night. Friendly and helpful hosts, wide choice at breakfast, large clean room, comfy bed, nice gardens. Minor thing, water pressure a bit low in the shower

Slightly tricky to find but that's totally my fault for not picking up the email from the host looking to give me the checking in details. Very comfortable, lovely big bathroom. Smart door locks took a bit of getting used to but ok once you understand you need to put your palm to the lock to activate the keypad. Wifi not particularly strong but sufficient for me to pick up work emails. Very comfy bed and quiet location, had a lovely night's sleep. Can happily recommend

Breakfast was lovely. The set up and the room for breakfast was perfect and the views was breath taking. The location was not to far from Hawks head or ambleside both with pubs, shops and restaurants . Outgate had a lovely pub down the road also. Hosts were perfect. Provided me a surprise for partners birthday on request. Room had plenty of room and the bed was very comfy. Was a quiet and quaint place. Very relaxing.
