Providing free WiFi, parking on-site and a garden, the recently renovated property of Sandford Meadow Guest House, offers rooms in Oxford, 8.9 km from University of Oxford and 21 km from Blenheim Palace. The property features garden views and is 31 km from Notley Abbey and 45 km from Newbury Racecourse. The accommodation provides full-day security and luggage storage space for guests.

The owner (Ric) was very kind and helpful. Beautiful house, lovely rooms, very clean, felt safe, and instructions were very easy to follow. Mimi (the cat) is very gentle and sweet. She only has access to the kitchen and outside, unless you let her in to the rest of the house. Naturally, we loved her so we let her roam freely through the house (when there were no other guests around) and she even spent one of the nights with us! Honestly such a great stay and would so easily recommend and go back. For breakfast, you're a 3 minute walk from Proof Social Bakehouse (pricey but AMAZING pastries, check opening times on google maps), and 5 minutes to the bus stop to go to Abingdon or Oxford (about 15mins to get to either). Thank you!! Luis & Rick

I liked that the property was easy to get to we are travelling around UK using trains and buses. The bus stops right outside it’s only 15 minutes into centre of Oxford. Property was clean with new carpet. Bonus was a fan in the room ti help combat the heat the UK is having at present. We didn’t have breakfast their as plenty of options in town The host was very pleasant to deal with and gave us a map of attractions.

Memory is such a warm and lovely host. Her home is located in a very quiet street, about 4 miles from the city center which can be easily reached by the public transport. It is carefully decorated with a great taste for art and treasuring the cultural heritage. I feel very comfortable during my stay and would definitely come back in my next trip to Oxford.

Great location, easy walk from the station and the city centre. Lovely and quiet with no traffic noise. Balcony is a real plus in good weather with outside furniture. Well appointed kitchen although a bit small. No problem with the access although it involves eight flights of stairs to get to the fourth floor.

Great location for our trip to Oxford, a simple clean, quiet room with a super comfy bed, a bit on the pricey side in my opinion but the whole city is overpriced so not a reflection on the property. Communication with the hosts was great throughout, we didn’t use it but the communal spaces were well set up. Loved the key code entry, no issues with it at all.

As the reviews say, this is a lovely guest house in a great location just over a mile from the city. The room had everything and was well stocked. The whole place is immaculately clean. There is a communal kitchen for you to make food and has lots on offer. The hosts were very considerate and kind when I requested additional requests. We had a lovely, comfortable stay! Thank you.
