The Sandfield Guest House is lovely place and excellent to stay in Oxford. Free Wi-fi, clean and very comfortable room. In my opinion 10/10. Sandfield is located on a main road leading into Oxford, making getting into the city by bus very easy. Of course you can also walk to the centre - only 20 minutes. I stayed in the single room, which was comfortable and had a nice private bathroom accessible on the floor. Paul, the owner, is wonderful man. He welcomed me personally and explain everything to me in detail. I would recommend to my friends, and maybe I will come back here in near future:-)))

The warm greeting by the manager made me immediately feel at home although I arrived after his off hours and he stayed to greet me. We started a conversation that was quite amusing and highly entertaining. And I must say that meeting him was the highlight of my stay at Newton House. I hope you are fortunate enough to share a cup of pressed coffee and baked goods although it is not automatically included. Just a warm-hearted gesture from my lovey host. And yes, the bed was most comfortable and the room quite cozy! It was either a nice walk to town which I did on several occasions or the bus stop is right in front. It was a fantastic choice for my stay in Oxford. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!
