Penrith is a beautiful little town. I arrived via bus from London. The accomodation was easy to walk to from the train station. I was met so kindly at check in. After a long bus ride and still struggling from jet lag, I had the most amazing sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the area is so peaceful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. It was a very lovely stay. They were able to assist me with any questions, very accomodating.

We liked the very warm and friendly welcome from Phil and the delicious breakfast cooked by Vanda. We also liked the cleanliness of room and bathroom, the convenient location, the comfortable bed and the overall excellent ensuite facilities, which made our stay very pleasant. Excellent coffee too 😋 Thank you, Phil and Vanda, for your first rate hospitality!

This country guest house is situated just 3 kilometres (2 miles) from junction 40 of the M6/A66, offering you a small, luxurious and homely alternative to regular travel accommodation.

Some hotels and guest houses can be very impersonal and soulless, treating each guest as little more than a name or number. At The White House Guest House, we are very different, focusing our efforts on providing a personal and unique service, where all our guests are treated as individuals.

What a lovely host! She runs the guest house very well. The vegan breakfast she prepared was amazing, thank you!

From start to finish, everything was so well organised, I was fully informed of everything and the few days' stay ran smoothly. There was parking, the place was clean and had everything I needed; the whole place was quaint and such a delight. The hosts put a lot of effort into making sure everything was right including decorating it for Christmas, and organising a couple of little treats. Good location, very quiet and calm, yet handy for Penrith and the M6.

Alison is a great host; warm, welcoming and very helpful. The room was warm and clean, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. There were a number of breakfast options, and the food was of a good quality and well cooked. The location is excellent, with a private parking area at the rear of the property. I could walk into the town centre in a few minutes and it was ideally suited to visit Potfest. The accommodation is very good value for the prices, and No 3 will be my first choice on future visits to Penrith.

We likes absolutely everything, from the room, facilities, breakfast and particularly our hosts. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was great and set us up well for the next leg of our journey to Scotland. Our hosts were very friendly and very welcoming. We have no hesitation in recommending Acorn Guest House.
