The property was just fabulous. Although located on a main road and outside a roundabout there was no need to be concerned. There was no noise whatsoever. Instructions on how to enter the property was provided and was easy to follow. The facilities were outstanding, clean and comfortable and a really good night's sleep was obtained. We travelled by bus from Whitehaven to the property which again, was simple, straight forward and easy to find. For next year, this will be the FIRST location we will choose. Rowrah Hall is located in a lovely area in a more quite corner of Lake District, and it's only a short drive from beautiful Ennerdale Water. The communication before our stay was clear and friendly, and the welcome was very warm. The house and the surroundings are charming, and our beautiful room totally exceeded our expectations. It was spacious & full of character, and all the little details in the room made our stay extra comfortable. Breakfast wasn't included in the room price but could be ordered separately, and it was delicious and very, very generous. Organising a little birthday surprise for my other half was not a problem either, and birthday cake, candles and a surprise birthday song made our breakfast even more perfect. Thank you for making our stay so special, we are looking forward to come back some day!
