We loved everything about this place. It is just so lovely to stay in the green forest overlooking the palms and sea. The bungalow is surrounded by green and from the terrace you have a beautiful far view of the sea. The host is very nice and friendly and provided us with several tips about the area. The hosts live very close, but the bungalow still has a lot of privacy. The bungalow is cozy and it was clean. We spent quite some time on the terrace and received regular visits by Pauwpauw the cat. The location is also good, plage de la perle, grande anse and Deshaies are nearby. If you do not have a car it may be a little challenging unless you are ok with walking or hitchhiking, but to be fair that is true everywhere in basse terre. That said, the beach of fort royal and plage de la perle are within walking distance. Watch out because tropical forest = insects. We only just saw 3 inside the bungalow and the bug spray provided by the host really helped. Lastly the bungalow does not have a kitchen but there is enough equipment for making breakfast or a snack. In summary, great place for a stay in nature.

Beautiful property perched on the hill, immersed in palm trees and lush vegetation. The bungalows are nicely decorated and well equipped and have all very large patios. Karine was very helpful and welcomed us with kindness while giving us many nice tips about where to eat out and activities to do around Basse Terre.

We stayed for a week in gite Blue mountain. The place was really relaxed, clean, nicely decorated and a magnificent view! The place offers a lot of privacy and you can sit for hours in the jazzuzi and stare at the view with the ocean in the background. Laurence is a very friendly host and David a great cook. Breakfast (optional) was fresh and tasty and we also chose to have dinner (also optional) several nights. Dinner was really good, every day different and superb cooking! David clearly has some cooking background and knows how to treat you with excellent dinner. Some day we hope to come back and we will choose again for Beausejour!

Short distance (5minutes drive) to the Grande Anse beach and to Deshaies (2 minutes). Large balcony with a sitting area, where we enjoyed both breakfasts and dinners. Excellent view on the sea and the hills, lots of greenery around the house. Very kind, welcoming host. Convenient parking near the house.

The two ladies running the hostel , Blandine and Pauline, are really open-minded and available for any questions and help. On top, there is a bakery (patisserie) and shop as well as a pizza shgop right next to the hostel, which is great to get your breakfast or supply for the beach day just in front of the hostel !!

Loads of bits and pieces provided which meant if you’d forgotten anything it really didn’t matter, this was unexpected in a bed and breakfast and went over and above expectations.

Restaurants are within walking distance, as is the beach. Shops are a bit further away, so having a car is a must. Stephanie and Nicholas are superfriendly, they take time for a chat and are always willing to help or assist you with your needs. So, an excellent stay at a wonderful place. Boulangerie just at the end of the road but there's a better one across from the beach access. Ludgy friendly host and there for anything you might need. Chickens make a good alarm clock and you can enjoy breakfast with them on the patio outside. Enjoyed the the stay.
