very cozy apartment, the shower was shared but it was never occupied since it is shared between only a couple of rooms and it is very clean as the owner cleans it everyday. the shampoos and conditioner left my hair silky soft and i loved the feeling on sleeping on japanese style beds. the owner was an absolute delight he even left us a basket of chocolates everytime he cleaned our room which was every third day and sheets changed after five days. he was very helpful with all information we needed and recommended us some good sakura viewing spots.

Bike hire is available at this guest house and the area is popular for cycling. Oedo Onsen Monogatari is 8 km from HISAYO'S INN, while Fuji TV Odaiba is 9 km from the property. The nearest airport is Tokyo Haneda International Airport, 3 km from HISAYO'S INN.

I was very stressed when i came to the hostel, since my phone has broken and i had to find my way home on my own, but Hisayo was so extremely welcoming and helpful, and made my trip home so much less stressful. The Inn was lovely and super cozy, and felt very homey, and it was nice to be able to sit down and have a chat with Hisayo and fellow travellers. I will definitely be coming here again, am i ever to go back to Japan.

Offering quiet street views, hanare is set in the Taito district of Tokyo, 400 metres from Asakura Museum of Sculpture and 400 metres from Kyoouji Temple. The 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. The accommodation offers luggage storage space and a concierge service for guests.

I love the core concept of this 'scattered hotel' that encourages guests to engage with the community. From the welcome walking tour of the neighborhood, to a detailed map and restaurant recommendations, to the tickets to the neighborhood bathhouse, I really felt anchored in a sense of place. Breakfast is in a separate building down the road. For a solo traveler, my tatami mat room and adjacent but private toilet (shared shower) were perfect. Neighborhood is lots of fun to explore, and the 'concierge' was so helpful, and warm, and responsive. Wonderful experience.

Great hostel. Super clean. It was very calm and nice, with people being very respectful of one another and I heard absolutely no noise after quiet hours. Bed was supercomfy. Well-equipped kitchen with free coffee. The girl in the reception was wonderful as well, and she helped us with booking tickets to a music festival, even allowing us to use her local telephone number temporarily. (Thank you so much, we got the tickets!!)

Andon Ryokan is a very hostile, cosy and clean ryokan in an older and more quiet part of Tokyo. The rooms were charming and clean, and the breakfast was really good. A must stay in Tokyo.

A friendly and welcoming hostel in a quiet neighborhood, yet a short walk to the station and nice places to eat. I was lucky to be here for the Sakura blooming and we had a little party in a local park organised by the host. Beds are really comfortable and the place is very clean and tidy. Great host, great company, perfect if you want a more relaxed stay. If I come to Tokyo again I'll definitely book this place.

Nice modern design with free drink machines in the lounge area. Great location in Akihabara, but not on main street so it's still quiet. Nicely sized towels are provided. Individual sleeping pods are well appointed and surprisingly spacious compared to several other hostels I stayed at.

Jij is a great host who made me feel like spending Christmas in a home rather than a guesthouse. After receiving the special-lemon-juice-welcome drink I’ve been shown where to buy delicious Sushi at a cheap price & in the evening everyone gathered around the common table. Definitely my favourite hostel in Tokyo so far.
