the facilities were beautiful and the staff were all so sweet and helpful. everyone was so happy and willing to help with any request. the owner is very honest and welcoming. this was the perfect place to relax after a flight and a gentle intro to Sri Lanka. the location is quiet, but a short walk away from a major street where you can find everything.

You will never find a property as beautiful as this. The care, effort, and love put into the decoration, ambience and overall vibe is second to none. Staff are unbelievably lovely and attentive and the owners themselves are present and involved, giving a family feel and making you feel at home. They cannot do enough for you! Food is incredible - you will never get as well and as much as you will here! Plus their restaurant Sanctuarii is a short 5 min walk with incredible food both Sri Lankan and Asian fusion cuisine.

Breakfast was wonderful. The buffet had plenty to choose from. My mom and I signed up for a massage and it was absolutely wonderful. I left all the oil on for the rest of the day...the pool is fantastic and this is a great spot if you are traveling with kids.

It’s very clean, staffs are very friendly and kind. All the wall paintings give a nice touch up to the whole place. It’s near the main road so one can easily find cheap restaurants and supermarkets.

We stayed at Sunrise Boutique for about 9 days and it definitely was a highlight of our trip. The place is beautifully furnished in Colonial antiques, has all the amenities needed and the exceptionally lovely staff members like Nigel make this place a perfect home away from home. We bought some King Coconuts at the top of the road and the staff were really nice to prepare it for us and anything we requested to make our stay comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom/ toilet was clean and lovely. The lighting is a tad dim for makeup but that’s expected for older themed houses. The location wasn’t a great issue because we had hired a vehicle for the trip and even if we didn’t you can easily Uber or use Pick Me, the rates are very cheap. Only issue might be the traffic when it rains or during peak times. There’s a petrol shed and 24hrs supermarket within walking distance from Sunrise Boutique. We were sad to leave the staff and this gorgeous home. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Colombo.
