Stayed there a couple weeks back Positives - spotless amazing bedroom with all the facilities - amazing friendly host who gave us Cocunut water on arrival as promised in other reviews - GET THE FOOD THERE....it was a feast and was absolutely delicious great value sri lanken food. - great location near the fruit bat trees. - Definitely book the safari with these guys. Asanka was an amazing and caring guide who really seemed to have all the know of where everything was. We saw 28 elephants and two leopards and many more thanks to this guy. 10/10 for the day No negatives. Its not a social place really, but was perfect for us at the time. Just positives for these guys.

Great spot to base yourself for Yala Park. The Cabana has 2 rooms available to book, one on the top floor with a terrace and one on the ground floor. My friend and I each booked one of the rooms which are equal in size and amenities. Very clean and a decent shower, good ac and wifi. The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She helped us with booking a Yala Park Tour. Best breakfast! Overall, great price and spot for access to Yala.

Priyanka was a wonderful host. After arriving from a hot afternoon safari I was greeted with a cold towel and a fresh coconut. The room is large, clean and has a/c. The dinner and breakfast prepared by his wife was delicious. It was great value. Overall a fantastic one night stay. I highly recommended this guest house.

Incredible place - cozy, exotic, calm with tropical off grid atmosphere. I've never stayed at a cabin with 9.6 rate on booking.com but when we arrived, I understood why it had such a great score. The cabine is right next to a beautiful lake. We had our own crocodile!!!! relaxing under our balcony. No worries, it's safe. They don't go ashore because of the fence so it's just a very nice Croc-view :) . The cabin itself was exotic to the max but quite comfortable. The toilet and shower were very clean, a small ventilator made the air inside a bit less hot so our northern bodies could go to sleeping mode, the bad was wide and there was a mosquito net, even though there was not many mosquitos inside. Special thanks to the host family! Incredibly social, nice and kind people. Very tasty, super original food on a small cozy terrace with local dishes, free water in bottles. If we come back to Sri Lanka we will definitely stay there again! Unforgettable experience!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest hospitality from Sanjeewa and his family. He picked us up from the railway station and back. Moonlight is located in a peaceful and serene area surrounded by stunning greenery of rise plantations and little green islands of palm trees, which made a truly tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The room is clean with comfortable beds and all the amenities you need for the stay. Delicious and authentic Sri Lankan cuisine for breakfast and dinner, one of the best we had in SL. His family is expirienced in safary trips, be sure you book with them, you will see all the animals and Sanjeewa will provide you with free lunch, snacks and soft drinks. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our stay, we will come back one day...

We had dinner twice and enjoyed both times. The room is as shown in online photos with a big comfortable bed. When the restaurant/reception area is completed it will only enhance the experience. Indika organised our Yala Safari, the bus to Colombo and even drove us to the bus stand in his tuk tuk. We wish he and his family all the best for his dream boutique hotel.

We were greeted on arrival by a cold king coconut to drink and a cold washcloth, fresh fruits were brought to us during our stay and we booked a great safari through them. The room is a nice size and clean. The accommodation is really pretty, surrounded by plants, and a great location near some local restaurants and an area where fruit bats live. He helped us with everything. We did the Bundalla safari and went to Kirinda beach. Also Shanta made a delicious meal for us with different kind of curry's and also buffalo curd. We highly recommend to stay at Yaye Guesthouse. We enjoyed every moment of it.
