I booked a sea view room, it has a nice balcony, you could hear the waves lying in bed at night. The room itself is a bit small, then again it didn’t cost that much. The guest house has a really nice garden and pool, we spent some quality time drinking tea in the pavilion and took some really nice pictures. Pool activities are highly recommended. It’s clean and clear. By the way, you could see the lighthouse island and the Ile aux Aigrette.

I really appreciated the water dispensers in the corridors, you can get filtered, cold water without buying plastic bottles. It's also easy to park outside. It's about a 10-minute walk into Mahebourg, and is just a block back from the coast (not a swimming area, it's a quiet fishing area). Nearby beaches are beautiful.
