There are good facilities for self catering. A lovely place to unwind. The hosts, Jean-Pierre and family, are very welcoming and friendly.

The bed is very comfortable. Room is well equipped, clean and spacious. We felt at ease, slept well and enjoyed our stay at Le Gite du Bonheur very much. We rented our car with Le Gite which has great options for their rental. Well located to discover the West and South of the Island. Lots of hiking options and sea excursions/ activities next to the guest house. The Host is Great and will do everything possible to assist. Thank you Cody for the great hospitality. We recommend Le Gite du Bonheur and if we come to Mauritius, we will be back!

The house is directly in the second row to the beach. Since the beach in Mauritius is public everywhere, if we felt like it, we walked 4 minutes to the beach and if we wanted peace and quiet we went back to our villa, with lots of space, surrounded by local houses. I felt very safe in the area. Within walking distance, 5 minutes, are several delicious restaurants and a supermarket.TanjaPeople with friends

The host was very kind, helpful and commited to make sure we had an unfogetable time. She is a certified yoga teacher and there's no better way to start the day than with an early Yoga Session in a beautiful garden, right next to the ocean and hearing just singing birds around you. We wish we would have stayed longer at this wonderful place!

The place is well situated with a ~20-30 minutes car ride to many Mauritius wonders (eg. Chamarel, Le Morne, Flic en Flac beach, dolphin swimming and whale watching excursions). Melissa is a great host, she helped us clear all our doubts during our first days in Mauritius.
