Tholal, his family and colleagues were incredibly kind, patient and so fun! We were two families (7 in total) with children as young as 5 years old and every day he arranged all the excursions we wanted and made a wonderful effort to ensure we enjoyed ourselves, including watching our children and giving them special attention and helping them spot all the special creatures of the sea, whale sharks, turtles, manta rays, dolphins, flying fish, eagle rays, squid, sharks, eel, octopus, lobsters, you name it - we saw it! Tholal and his crew take the best care of their guests - they always dropped us at optimal spots so we wouldn’t have to spend too much energy swimming to find what we wanted to see. The first time we saw a whale shark, they dropped us at the front of a pack of snorkelers so we wouldn’t be lost in the trail of kicking fins. He also personally took our 7 yr old daughter by the hand and swam with her to make sure she saw everything. We were also very lucky that Tholal and Areef (boat captain) spotted more whale sharks, manta rays and turtles and we had a few very incredible private experiences with these magnificent creatures. They did not rush us and let us stay as long as we wanted. Tholal is also an amazing free diver and takes incredible videos of you and your family with his Go Pro camera and shares them with you, free of charge! If you want to see whale sharks, this part of the Maldives is a must! One night, we went night fishing with a local fisherman (Ayu!) and enjoyed dried tuna and coconut while we fished! The next day, Tholal’s wife prepared us a meal with our catch (we let the shark and giant sting ray we caught go, of course!) Tholal even treated us to a couple excursions and a meal! He has been one of the sweetest hosts/guides we have ever encountered, and both our families have traveled a lot! Our children trusted and enjoyed being with Tholal and we cannot thank him enough for our wonderful trip. We would love to visit again!

We came to this place for some peaceful days off and found exactly what we wanted. Manta Dhangethi is a beautiful peaceful and cozy place with very modern rooms and I can absolutely recommended a stay at this place.

This place was amazing!! Its a smaller guesthouse with very nice and cozy rooms. The owners (Sana and Rauf) are the kindest people in the world. They really make sure you feel like being at home. We were diving every day and all the dives were just amazing. We have seen mantas, sharks, whale sharks and millions of fishes - it felt like swimming in the aquarium. They really tried hard to find us the best places for diving and we always came out of the water with huge smiles. We felt safe and happy. We joined the non diving activities too - dolphin watching and fishing which were really nice. On the last night of our stay they have prepared very delicious dinner -bbq on the beach under the millions of stars. The island is small, but has everything you need (even the ATM) and everything, even the bikini beach, is in the walking distance. There are 3 restaurants on the island with very good natural juices and good food. We would recommend this place to everyone who wants to experience the real kindness of local people and the beauty of the underwater world.

Amazing place near the hearth of island. Very good staff whose are empatic and wants to make you smile. Good prices and good people, excellent rooms with good standard. I hope I'll back here.

We only stayed 1 night at Sunset Beach View, but that was very nice. The house is right on the beach and close to the bikini beach as well. If you dress appropriately (not bikini) you can stay on the nicer public beach. Room and breakfast were fine and it was not a problem to even have it early in the morning.

Lovely and very friendly staff, special thanks for Husnee and his team! Such a nice accommodation, I had the room with the wooden stairs, it felt like a small apartment. I especially like the garden in the yard, they even had a small pet turtle 🙂 I strongly recommend the whale shark tour and the local breakfast with tuna, onions and coconut flakes. So delicious!

Big, modern room with very clean bathroom. Daily cleaning was also great. Staff was exceptional, they helped us with pretty much everything. Answering our tons of questions before we arrive, arranging our pick up from the airport and welcoming us at the harbour personally… And preparing a birthday cake for my wife. I don’t know what to say, we are very grateful for choosing Dhigurah Cottage.

This is our second time coming to the Maldives, the first time in Dhigurah. Akiri is a brand new facility, a family boutique hotel, in a quiet location, very clean, with beautiful wooden furniture, and we felt great in it. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. especially the manager Jumaan and Gayan, the young man who served us breakfast and who tidied up the room and made sure we always had fresh water, clean towels and made beautiful art installations on the bed. We also went on a trip where we went diving with whales dog. We stayed at the hotel for 12 nights (with a delicious breakfast included) and on the last evening, the owners of the hotel treated us to a delicious dinner prepared by the owner's mother and sister. If we had not already booked a stay further away, on another island, we would have stayed in Akira and we cried because we were leaving. All recommendations for Akiri Dhigurah and see you again!
