24/7 reception made me feel very safe. Amazing location, close to multiple main streets and transportation lines, quiet street, many cafes and restaurants around. The staff is incredibly nice, Miguel helped me plan my trip every morning and offered coffee and advice. It is super clean, the rooms are cleaned every day incredibly well. They were gracious to let me check in early and to keep my luggage after I checked out, and to let me stay in their lobby until my late night flight. A very family feel to this guesthouse and you can feel that they manage it with love.

Located in Lisbon’s historical Pombaline Downtown, Augusta is an elegant boutique guesthouse which not only offers 12 spacious rooms, but also a rooftop where you can have a nice Portuguese wine, or just simply contemplate the busy life of one of the most charismatic streets of Lisbon.

First off - the lift! Although a guesthouse, it is more like a small hotel. Beaufully restored and kept to a high standard. A little gem. From the reception foyer to the top floor lounge and rooftop patio where a substantial breakfast is freshly laid out. Beds super comfortable and the rooftop view from our window superb. Step out the door and you right on the middle of the Placa with loads of restaurants and shopping to your hearts content. Would certainly return.

An excellent and comfortable accommodation in a very convenient location. Emilia, the host, is a treasure - charming, helpful, welcoming, very professional and fluent in several languages. Guest House Amoreiras is well located close to a large shopping centre with a big supermarket and numerous bus routes to the city centre (15 minutes by bus number 711) and further afield. Comfortable beds and good bathrooms, what more could you ask for? It is a superb base for your stay in Lisbon, highly recommended!

Location was off the beat and path without being far away and it was very quiet. We stayed on the top floor which had a few flights of stairs to climb however the terrance and view made it worth it. Alexandria and Ana were great hosts. They helped make our stay even better by offering that personal boutique hotel service.

The guest house has a great location close to the old city center. Even though it is one of the cheaper places it’s quite expensive. On the other hand, you get a well-equipped kitchen with free treats from the host. The bathrooms are shared but they were clean.

I think how you will enjoy this place depends on how you like old timey vibes in your stay–having to ring the bell and waiting for the host to let you in, regardless of the time of day, you can either see that as quaint or kind of annoying. If you're cool with that, then you'll have a good time. Great location, friendly service, cheap price. AC is hit-and-miss but not too bad once you've let it run a couple of hours.

Great location by the Castelo St Jorge, very clean and quiet. Great communication from the host and their team. Lovely nearby shops, just look out for the two lifts in Chao do Loureiro and Castelo and you're soon in Baxia or Gracia is another lively place nearby. Would definitely recommend a stay here. As with all of Lisbon the charming hills and cobbles require sensible foot ware, luckily public transport is cheap and frequent too.
