Absolutely amazing place unfortunately we only booked one night at the end of our trip but we would have loved to stay longer. Lovely location at the beach, very quiet and amazing to chill, super friendly staff and we loved the meals at the restaurant which are freshly homemade. Rooms were very clean and comfortable the whole place is decorated with love - we can recommend Mama Root totally!

Beautifully maintained garden and villas. We loved the food in the restaurant, all the seafood dishes were super fresh and very tasty. Their curry and pilau were super good too. We didn't try any of meat dishes but being on Zanzibar you can't expect a wide range of them. We liked the breakfast options too. The massage I got there was amazing, I strongly recommend it. We liked the staff as well, very friendly and professional.

The beach is small but strategically positioned near the interesting fishing village of Kizimkazi . The bungalow was cleaned daily, the food and breakfast are deliciously prepared. The vibe was very relaxing but fun was never too far with the great hosts David and Sandrine and their fantastic staff which make the real difference. We truly had a great time and we will recommend to anyone who want to escape crowded and unpersonal places.
