The kitchen was well stocked with equipment The selling point was the location. Only 10 minutes from restaurants cafes, the main high street and the waterside. Car parking is good. The owners also had a very formative information pack with lots of recommendations. We used 4 if their food place suggestions

Bed and breakfast guest rooms include a full English breakfast. There are also self-catering three/four bedroom cottages. All cottages have a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and indoor/outdoor dining options on covered verandahs. The setting is beautiful, although the gardens had suffered in the heat of summer but we could imagine how wonderful they would have been. The self catering chalet felt like home and was very comfotable. The owner, Joy, was very pleasant and informative. We wished we had stopped here on a previous visit to York.

Excellent breakfast every day setting you up for the day’s travels. Hosts were extremely helpful especially about where to visit in the area.
