Beautifully decorated, thoroughly cleaned, a fabulous nights sleep and breakfast was exceptional (Compliments to the Chef!!). Daryl was very welcoming, as were the front house staff through to housekeeping. You will not be disappointed when you stay here!

We were in town for a concert May 2023, and staying at South Shore Guest House was like visiting godparents on a school holiday - warm, welcoming, cozy, and caring. The best part was our hostess Lorraine’s charming stories over the hearty homemade breakfasts that she and her husband prepared for all the guests each morning. The town of South Shields is a dreamy, friendly community by the sea, and this B&B is in the perfect spot for strolling to and fro from the diverse restaurants & stores to the excellent dog watching at the pier. Also, super convenient to find from the train station. I can’t recommend a stay there enough; 10/10.

The nearest airport is Newcastle International Airport, 12 km from the accommodation. Very friendly host. The guest house is right at the exit of the A1. Perfect for a stop on our roadtrip.

South Shields Metro Station is also within a 10-minute walk of Beechwood Guest House. Ιt was a great pleasure staying at Beechwood guest house. Rez was an amazing host, I had everything I needed in my room, so much coziness and warmth to fight the cold outside. Unfortunately, I was n't able to enjoy the famous breakfast of Rez but...well, next time! The location is also excellent, one breath away from the sea, restaurants, coffee shops and metro station. I was waking up every morning with the sound of the seagulls flying. Highly reccomend it and would definitely like to stay there again. Thank you for having me.

Situated just outside Heddon, a charming village on Hadrian’s Wall, this French-style B&B is only 8 miles from the centre of Newcastle. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the building, and free private parking on site. We were walking Hadrian's Wall and it was quite dark when we arrived. They were wonderful and friendly, and dropped us off at the pub. The next day we unfortunately left something behind and our host drove and met us so we could be reunited with our lost belongings. The accommodation is lovely, nice setting, large and well equipped. Food is provided so you can prepare breakfast for yourself in the morning, which suited us. Overall very nice place which we hope to re-visit in the future.

The Roman Fort of Arberia is a 5-minute walk from the building. As soon as we walked in the guest house the beautiful smell hit us, as if we were walking in to a spa,. Our room was beautifully decorated and was immaculately clean, the high quality pillows and duvet were very comfortable as well as the mattress. We had room 3 so it was lovely to sit with a coffee in the bay window and people watch. The host was so friendly and helpful, she even carried my very heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs to our room.
