Had fears this may be a bit of a party hostel which seemed correct when arrived in the middle of a pool party with music blasting. However that was a one off and all the other nights were bit more relaxed. Always quietened down by around 11pm The most amazing location in the middle of the jungle 15min walk to the pools, perfect. Loved the style of the place. Pretty clean and bathrooms decent considering the location. Arriving in the back of the truck great fun!!

beautiful hostel directly by the river, magical setting, stay in bungalows with their own terrace, clean rooms and toilet facilities, two swimming pools available, gravel road leads to the city center, about 10 minutes on foot, the hostel provides a lot of information for backpackers and at a good price a large range of services

The staff were very helpful and friendly with good English. The food is pretty good, with many prices cheaper than the town and the laundary service was very fast. Wi-Fi is excellent in the restaurant. Our room (private with shared bathroom) felt a little bare, but it was cool at night. The resort is beautiful and in a great location. It was very easy to catch local transport to Semuc Champery.

This a great hostel right near Semuc Champey. It is isolated and quiet. The owners were very helpful and welcoming and let me use their hotspot when I needed wifi to message friends. The beds were comfortable and I had a very relaxing time here.

Even though I feel that the price is a bit high, it was really comfortable and had everything you could need: towels, shampoo and soap, hot water. And I must say the hosts were great! I could leave my bags at the reception during the day before leaving. I had a shuttle issue and they were super helpful trying to find solutions, etc, and helped me book my shuttle for the next day and made sure I could get on this one! Great hosts! oh and they came to pick me up at the gas station where all the shuttles arrive!

Such great hosts- Mary and her family are so welcoming and helpful . They offer tours to Semuc champey but also tips if you wanted to go alone ! Small but delicious menu for breakfast lunch and dinner . Right in the heart of lanquin which doesn’t have much to offer but it’s great to immerse. Also unmatched price for the area. Bed was comfy

Great hostel! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Nice facilities - you fell like you are at a jungle resort! Fun music in the evening. Great services. An perfectly located for entrance to Sumec Champey.
