I found the area to be quiet (you might hear the occasional karaoke but it didn't last all night and some dogs/roosters in the distance at morning - although I didn't mind).

Very nice and hospitable owner and his family makes your stay like home big garden breakfast was great and big with lot of fresh fruits. Beautiful place, very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and truly wonderful, kind hearted owner who’ll make you feel like a part of his family. There is a good wi-fi connection here. The guesthouse can also help you with organizing boat trip to 17 Islands nature park. We had a trip with amazing Captain Adam and it was really great experience for a very good price.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Escape Bajo; it offers excellent value. The view from our room was breathtaking. The staff were extremely helpful, and the food was delicious, complete with a welcome drink and a delightful breakfast. The coffee was exceptional—the best I've ever tasted, likely made from special beans. We intended to book another stay after our boat trip, but it was fully booked.

We enjoyed spending time with jecky’s family, eating delicious home cooked meals, seeing Komodos (of which there are many behind the village), trekking in the national park, swimming with mantas, hiking Padar…the list goes on! Even just sitting on the balcony and watching the fishing boats or the resident dugong play with a sea turtle is a great way to pass the time. Jecky is a great host and has great English. You can arrange/discuss all your travels and activities with him via WhatsApp prior. And his wife is a great cook! This is a unique opportunity you will be lucky to have. It’s a homestay (not some bland hotel experience) so come ready for adventure.

Also, good breakfast with banana pancake and fruit. The owner helped me a lot by arranging the boat tour and drive to Bajawa. I was also able to rent his scooter. There is the cutest dog and chickens walking around. Just lovely !

An Asian breakfast is available every morning at the guest house. There is a coffee shop and bar. Farila Lodge is a very nice place. A house with two rooms and a balcony in front. Everything is new and spacious, the bathroom is one of the nicest we had, the shower (hot) with good water pressure. It is not visible from the street as the hill below is very steep, so we were a little confused to only see a sign on the street and no building. But no need to worry. It is there. 😃 We also rented a scooter from them for a day which was quite new and worked fine. Breakfast is brought by a lady who has a small stand selling drinks and snacks right above the house on the street. We had a very tasty nasi goreng with fried egg there. On the first day there was a man to welcome us who spoke a little english and could give us information about laundry, where to eat... When he was gone there was no one speaking english, but the friendly lady from the stand sent us to the Rainbow Cafe just around the corner. They speak english, were able to organise ojeks, transfer to Maumere, do laundry (quite expensive, but clean).

The owner Hars has created an organic paradise where 80% of all the meals come straight from his garden. Hars and his Japanese wife are fantastic hosts and organised everything for us including transport to and from the airport , bike hire and three organic meals a day. On top of that we got to learn lots about real organic farming techniques and the special island of Sumba… thanks Hars we will be back.

The breakfast was really nice with pancakes and fruits. And last but not least, Yohannes and his wife are super friendly! They want you to feel at home. Besides that he arranges transport to Kelimutu, but also he arranged that the public bus to Bajawa kept 4 seats free for us! That was great🤩
