The village of Heelsum is delightful: clean, quiet, well-kept. There is a supermarket just a few minutes walk from the property, also a place where you can rent bikes. The property itself is comfortable, clean and well equipped, with a strong "at-home" feel to it. You can sit outside on the small porch and enjoy a meal there, and even though it is close to the main house where the hosts live, you have all the privacy you need. As for the hosts: I have stayed at many B&B-type properties in the Netherlands and France, and Betty and Sjaak are the kindest, most considerate, and helpful hosts you could hope to have. We are definitely going back. What a wonderful trip we had!
