Great location - our tent was on the top of the dune providing fantastic views at sunrise (but not only). The interior of the tent is nothing fancy but comfortable and charging via USB is provided. Bathroom - in the desert sun or under the stars :-) Very good food. Camp is rather quiet. Additional attractions (like dune bashing or camel ride) available onsite. Friendly hosts. Bonfire after the dinner is a great idea.
Great authentic atmosphere, Said was a great host, everything went smooth. Thanks and recommendation.
+ + It was simply perfect. + Best camp. Only tents. New. Clean. Quiet place. Fantastic food. Very nice and friendly host. Go there don't hesitate. My best choice in Oman. I planed to spend a night but stayed for longer. I have seen all other camps this one was best. if you look for peace in the desert or plan to go across the desert they will help. - no thanks
Rashid and his team are great hosts and will make sure that you get a unique experience staying in the desert. We had a great stay and a lovely evening sitting at the campfire with singing and stories about Oman.
It was an amazing experience, from the pre-check in phonecall by Ali (which connected us with the host prior to check-in), the transport to the desert camp, the accommodation, the abundance of traditional food, the helpful and friendly staff, the pristine room (without any dust or sand in the middle of the desert) to the breathtaking views and quietness. Ali is an exceptional host. We hope to be back one day. The accommodation and experience is highly recommended.
Rashid was a great host and a skilled dune basher. The spacious tents with toilet snd shower were very comfortable. We could walk the dune from our tent to watch sunrise. We took up sunset dunebashing and camel ride options.
Rashid is a great host, the setting of the camp is amazing, the food and service was outstanding. Don’t miss the dune bashing, it is a lot of fun. thank you Rashid & team, you have made our stay memorable.
Communications with owner, Saiid was great. His offer of free pick up to the site for those without 4x4 like me was greatly received (esp as other sites charge a lot for the 10 minute ride to camp) . Meals well organised, in fact everything well run. Saiid is a great host and kept everyone entertained with his knowledge of the stars and amusing anecdotes ! (ask him about his 3 wives and 11 children for some funny made up entertainment !)
Beautiful desert spot not close to the big camps. Very quiet in the night; beautiful sunset and sunrise. Cheap and good breakfast and dinner. Camel ride and dune bashing optional. Toilet ok considering where you are.
