The location is simply amazing. The house backs onto a fantastic beach and although you wouldn't describe it as luxurious it had everything that we needed. Within walking distances are more than half a dozen tavernas (and we visited them all), a fab little cocktail bar and a supermarket for the daily shop. The area is so quite and peaceful and the perfect place to unwind and get away from it all. We arrived late at night on the Sunday and were met and shown around and by prior arrangement our hosts had also done some shopping for us so that we had the basics available to us before we could get to the shops ourselves.

We stayed 10 days at Gerakini Sunshine Holiday Homes, where we felt at home. The villa has 2 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet on the 2nd floor and a toilet on the 1st floor. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. 30 m from the villa there is a small market. The nearest beach is about 50-70 m from the villa. Everything was lovely. The property was clean, the furniture and appliances were clean and in a good state. One of the rooms had an opening from where we could see the sea. All windows had mosquito protection which helped, though a mosquito repellent is a must. All rooms are equipped with AC and it felt great to lower the temperature at noon. The triplex is situated close to the beach (1 minute walk), which makes everything so much better. You can just grab a towel and head to the beach. There is a big fridge with no frost technology which is a nice touch and you can have a longer stay in comfort, store some ice cream and what not. There are multiple SuperMarkets and Taverns close to the location where you can get most essentials and eat great meals. There is also a washing machine for convenience. We were welcomed with open arms when we arrived, and we were even provided some cold waters in the fridge and a bottle of wine. The host (Andrew) speaks some English so you can get in touch with him and he will make sure to accommodate your needs. He’s a nice man. All in all, we were a party of 7, 2 couples with 3 kids between us and we had a great time.
