Everything was just great! We did not meet the owners, but communication via booking platform was very easy. We have received all instructions how to check in on our own. House is very well equipped, there is a dishwasher, plates, cups, microwave etc. And of course there is a HOT TUB!!! which is an absolute gift after hard days of driving and exploring the Iceland. Also the house is located further from the city so we had an opportunity to see northern ligts 2 evenings out of 4 and it was a wonderfull experience. Definately recommend for everyone who is looking for comfort out of the town.

A real shame we only spent about 10 hours in one of these cottages - between the last part of the ring road (clockwise) and the golden circle. The modern cottage (with fully furnished kitchen, etc) is so luxurious and comfortable that it's much better to book for at least two nights, and perhaps relax a bit - the views are great too. Very good value when we stayed there in the second half of September.

Askot Cottages was by far the best accommodation experience we had in Iceland. The cabins are immaculately designed and everything is thought of - from Icelandic chocolate to a really decent coffee machine. But the best part is the beautiful view, that swinging chair, and the neighboring horses who came to visit. Greta was an amazing host and even let us pet the young (1 yr old) horses who were so sweet, and witness some of the training that they do on site. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

With all the windows you will have a great view. We saw the Aurora for a couple of hours, even from inside it was perfect to see.
