Staying at the Black House is a truly exceptional and luxurious experience, with this being my 5th visit. The house is a beautiful Victorian home with lots of personality and charm. The interior is very well appointed, with quirky and timeless furniture, as well as attractive paintings and other artwork. The host and owner, Els was as always very professional and make you feel welcome, from the minute you walk through the front door. It is a delight for entertaining, as the house is fully equipped with everything one needs, from crockery and cutlery, to pots and pans, to an array of glasses, as well as herbs and spices. The beautiful pool area, with braai and outdoor seating complete the experience. Great to relax and unwind. Want to mention the fine linen and plush towels. Robertson is a beautiful town and the wine farms in the Robertson Valley and surrounding areas are outstanding and well known for their exceptional wines, to mention a few - Springfield, Bon Courage, Zandvliet, Weltevrede (and the restaurant, Kapokbos), Silverthorn and De Wetshof.
