Saint Johnʼs
Yepton Estate Cottages is set in extensive tropical gardens next to a salt lagoon bird sanctuary. It offers self-catering accommodation around an outdoor pool. There is free Wi-Fi and free parking.
Air-conditioned cottages offer a furnished terrace with barbecue facilities, some with a hammock. There is a living room with cable TV, an electronic safe and DVD player. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer, and there is a well-equipped kitchenette includes a fridge, microwave and a blender.
The group of six cottages is centred around a lagoon just behind Yepton beach. The location is beautiful, peaceful and a wonderful place to wake up to and relax on the veranda while planning your day. The cottage I had the pleasure of staying in was a good size, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The main room had an oh so comfy sofa and chair, dining table and chairs and high quality kitchen area that made you want to cook... almost lol. A full cooker, microwave, a couple of coffee makers, shiny pots and pans, big fridge freezer and most importantly, an electric kettle. The bedroom featured an impressive king-sized bed giving a great night's sleep to the backdrop of chirping crickets. The separate shower room was a good size too. Back in the living room, if you miss home, there's cable TV.
There are at least seven beaches within walking distance. Yepton is closest but Deep Bay is livelier, Galley Bay is a classic Caribbean picture postcard, Hawksbill is more relaxed with another four beaches.
Nearby Five Islands village has a couple of local but tourist friendly cafes serving tasty food. For the adventurous, there's a bus into St John's with a fruit and veg stall next to the bus stop. The fresh bananas were amazing.
Back at Yepton Cottages, hosts Gabby and Douglas, long term Antigua residents, made sure my stay ran smoothly. Attentive but not intrusive, very knowledgeable about the island and good to chat with.

The variety, and high quality food and dining options and the nightly entertainment
A great hotel in a beautiful location. Nelson's Dockyard is a pretty magical place. The hotel has its own two great restaurants and is also close to the other restaurants and general buzz of English Harbour. The boat crossings to the swimming pool worked well. Friendly staff and a great holiday.
Very close to everything. But no restaurant, no room service, no swimming pool.
Great location, friendly staff. Nice dinner entertainment.
The beach’s, the bungalows, pool, laid back
The staff were very helpful and the resort was very relaxed and the entertainment over dinner was good. The setting is fantastic and the new infinity pool is great.
Spacious resort with two beaches, separating sports from swimming / relaxing. Our room was spacious and next to the beach, lovely to sit out on the balcony. Several excellent swimming pools to choose from. Mostly good quality food. Coco's restaurant had good food and open space overlooking the sea. Singer on the Friday at the reef deck and the magician on the Thursday were excellent. Good location for visiting English Harbour. Very good taxi service.
Fabulous sandy beach just 20 yards away. Very relaxing stay in a homely, family style property of 60-70 guests with a good mix of ages from 20-80+ including honey-mooners and retired couples . There is a very friendly management team who did everything to make our double birthday celebration truly memorable. A variety of tasty food and refreshing cocktails and good quality evening entertainment
The room had a view of the swimming pool and a partial view of the see (3rd floor) from our balcony. It was spotlessly clean and spacious, with housekeeping daily. Wifi was ok but not sufficient for streaming. However the location on this wonderful beach and the staff were exceptional, making it hard to leave in the end! Fab sunsets too, we loved it, recommended!
