We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express while visiting relatives in Newcastle. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. The members of staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is good. The location is very good for public transport. It is close to Newcastle Central station and it is not far to walk to the city centre. The hotel is very reasonably priced.

We needed somewhere to stay whilst travelling so checked in late and left mid morning. Location is handy off the A1, building and facilities are as per the Holiday Inn Express manual. The staff were excellent and they’d taken the trouble to make sure every rooms fan was running so despite having no aircon (it’s Newcastle, they don’t need it) and the weather being warm all of the rooms were comfortably chilled.

Staff were excellent and really helpful. The hotel is located right to the side of the city centre and only 10 mins walk to the station, main shops and on to the riverside. The rooms were clean and well equipped. There were a few marks on the walls, a broken socket and some other scruffy bits, but didn't detract from the overall cleanliness. Breakfast was the usual quality buffet you get at Holiday Inn Express and you can eat your fill of hot and cold breakfast. Top notch.
