One of my favourite places I've stayed during my travels. I've arrived in a slightly bad mood but the warmth of people and coziness of the place quickly changed how I felt and I had a really nice time there. The hostel has an open view into the valley; you can easily walk everywhere, but enjoy the peace of nature. This place feels much more like someone's home than the hostel, and those are my favourite kind of places.

We had a great stay in the finca Madremonte. It is 5 min by car from Finlandia but disconnected enough to enjoy silence and wildlife. The hosts Milena and Mathieu are wonderful people, very kind and welcoming. They have created a little garden paradise around the house with lots of plants and birds. We even had the pleasure to enjoy a dinner they were preparing for us. It was with ingredients from their garden, very delicious and fairly priced. Highly recommend this place for a stay in Eje Cafetero.

Right next to the bus stop. So it’s convenient and relatively cheap. I didn’t eat the $10k pesos breakfast but it looked yummy. The sleep was lovely and the beds are very comfortable.

After a stay in cities, this was an oasis for our souls; we had great sleep there. We hang around in the farm for a day, watching Nata milk cows and cook dinner, and reading a book in a hammock.

They had a lot games you could borrow as well. In the morning you get a small breakfast for free, found it quite weird they didn’t mentioned this when I checked in though. It was not really filling, but a nice extra, and you get unlimited coffee and/or tea in the morning. The staff was friendly and nice.
