The meals are delicious and the hosts go above and beyond! Nestled in a forested park with an unbelievable view, the scenery and location is perfect. If I could have stayed here longer, I would have.

Situated just 45 km from Kaskada Park, Hostel Quintonido offers accommodation in Jarabacoa with access to a terrace, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. The property has mountain and city views, and is 8.2 km from Salto de Jimenoa. The guest house also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests.

The hospitality and the friendliness at Hostel Quintonido were beyond my expectation. Wilson, the owner of this hostel, was very kind, and the room was clean. We, including Wilson’s family, have enjoyed talking about Dominican and Japanese cultures and history based on our different backgrounds, although I can speak only little Spanish. I was fortunate to stay at this place on Dec 31, and Wilson and his family invited me and other guests to his New Years Eve family dinner. Next day on Jan 1, I visited Constanza with his family together for a day. It makes sense that this place is very popular with super high rating in booking.com. The host suggested me to return back to his hostel in the future, and I am indeed willing to stay there again in the near future!

Claudio and Michaela are lovely hosts. The homemade food was delicious and I enjoyed having good conversations at dinnertime. Mi Hogar is locate din the middle of an eco project in the woods on Jarabacoa and serenly quiet (yes, there are roosters - but we are in the Dominican). Michaela also offers massages, which I was fortunate to experience - very recommendable. If you need time away from the lovely (and bustling) coastline, this is it.

Room was nice and clean, worth the stay. Also one thing, not concerning the stay, but it should be said. We had a problem with our rented car and Rossy and her brother in law were extremely helpful. They helped us with contacting the locals and arranging the repairs.

This is a homestay, so the place is quiet and cozy. Nice terrace. Extremely friendly dogs on the premises that want to be constantly petted.
