New homestay which opened 3 weeks ago. Found the place though another homestay which was already fully booked. Located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. Little out of downtown (40min walking distance or just take a tuk), but that was OK for me. Restaurant/shop area at about 20min walking distance. Since everything is new, all works perfectly and it's super clean. Very comfortable bed, working AC, great rainfall with hot water (best shower I took so far in Sri Lanka!). Communication with host is 10/10, speaks English very well and can advice a lot about travel. Delicious local breakfast is included. Shared kitchen available at the rooftop with a view.

We walked to the town and Bahirawa kandha, which we enjoyed very much ! Very easy to get to Dhalada Maligawa( Temple of Tooth). The rooms are spacious, cozy and clean. Not to forget the owner and his family, very gentle, humble and welcoming. They were really helpful and ready to go extra miles to make us feel at home. The breakfast was Yummy !!

Tenthola Inn is one of the best places I stayed at in Sri Lanka. The view from the large balcony where guests mingle and relax is just spectacular. The rooms opening up to the balcony all have a spectacular view and are very comfortable. I enjoyed breakfasts and dinners at Tenthola prepared by the owners wife, who is an outstanding cook. Viper aka Edwin, the owner is super helpful and a treasure trove of stories and information as it relates to Kandy and Sri Lanka. I can highly recommend Tenthola.
