The apartment has all you need for a great stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds comfortable and the shower is always warm. Frans and Thea were amazingly kind and helpful. We were sad to leave and are hopeful to visit again.

As the title says, this is a 'unique' residence, very close to the lovely medieval centre of Alkmaar but also quiet. Grace and Vincent are welcoming and friendly, and the house is supplied with everything that you would need for a short stay. The train station is only a 15-minute walk away.

We had a truly wonderful stay here. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and right in the beautiful city centre. Having a kitchen was great, especially because of the lockdown restrictions. The owners are super friendly and clearly run this with passion. We haven’t done a home stay in a long time, but this was a pleasant surprise. Robin’s home is cheerful, clean, and welcoming and Robin is a wonderful, friendly host. We were there with two other travellers, who we enjoyed meeting. Our room was on the third floors (lots of stairs!) and although it was small, the bed was comfortable and room was fine for our two night stay. Travellers should know there is one shared bath on the second floor and a toilet on the main floor. It was always available when we wanted to use it. Robin gave us great recommendations on where to cycle, visit and dine. Recommend!
