A not too big family run hostel with a homely atmosphere with awesome backpackers vibes. We rent seven rooms, privates and dorms. The owner, Bert, is really friendly and helpful. He takes great pride in the hostal and it shows. Beautiful place on top of a hill with a view of the town below. Breakfast included with delicious home-made peanut butter and nice little social spaces to hang out in.

The nearest airport is Viru Viru International Airport, 13 km from Mainumbí House. Mainumbi is very quiet and tranquil, nice courtyard. My room was good value and exceptionally clean. The owner is very accommodating. I will certainly return at the end of my trip. Very close to good markets, excellent café and great breakfast food stands just a few meters away!

Nadja and Miguel are by far the best hosts we had during our trip through South America! It was such a pleasure to meet the couple, as we were warmly welcomed from the very beginning and immediately felt incredibly comfortable with them. We were even invited to a small birthday party. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone traveling to Samaipata and are even considering returning to Samaipata at the end of our Bolivia trip just for the accommodation. The whole house is clean, the kitchen perfectly equipped and the rooms large. Overall, the house looks even nicer in real life than in the photos!
