The nearest airport is San Cristóbal Airport, 2 km from the homestay. I stayed at Casa Alexita as a solo traveler and I loved it. The room was very comfortable, affordable snorkling rental and Alexita even helped me with extra towels and laundry. Was a lot of fun playing with their daughter and I got many tips and help for excursions.

Air conditioning, hot showers, big rooms with storage space, comfy beds, clean with daily housekeeping, filtered drinking water, free breakfast every morning on a beautiful terrace, walkable to the main part of town but far enough removed for quiet, laundry available, quick communication. But best of all, the hostel hosts Trudy and Ivan were the most wonderful people and completely made our stay. Ivan has lived his whole life on San Cristobal and worked as a fisherman, and Trudy is descended from the first descendants of Floreana Island (also in the Galapagos). They are so kind and friendly, helped us with information and recommendations, and we so appreciated getting to learn about them and their story. If you stay at Hostal Cattleya, you support a true local family. We love you Trudy and Ivan!

Nearby there are small grocery stores. The host was very friendly and responsive - he gladly helped us with everyday questions, we had a really great time!
