The room was immaculate, for the centre of Fira it was really quiet. Shame we only stayed for one night as could easily have stayed longer. The staff were all lovely too.

The host was simply amazing went above and beyond to make my stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Helped with transporting the luggage and also allowed me to leave luggage which is very rare in Greece. Also organized a delivery of ATV to the hotel. Also helped try to find my lost phone, gave great recommendations for restaurants and gym's. Was 5* treatment. I had such I good time I even extended my stay! Would definitely recommend and stay when I come back! The room is very cool cave on top of castle on the hill with awesome views! I welcome him and his brother to Australia!

It really like home, even though for one day. We wanted to prolong our stay at Philikon, Rethymno, however it was a short trip this time. Awesome place to relax or take advantage of the surroundings for walks. Beautiful rooms with quality bathroom products and coffee machine and nice teas. Breakfast is just amazing along with afternoon get togethers to chill and relax. Plenty of beaches close by. A short walk to the square for dinner. Highly recommend The Merchant’s House whether you’re looking to be active or just chill in the natural surroundings.
