They were constantly offering us fruits, tea, and snacks for the duration of our stay and welcomed us into their family. Its truly an authentic experience worth doing as you are immersed in their culture and staying in the forest with beautiful views of the mountain. They offered free water and although you are not right in the town they offer food right on the property for cheap prices. We did both a rice paddies/monkey forest/waterfall tour and a private cooking class with the family and both were amazing experiences. Its not often you get to have private tours with the locals and get to learn so much about their culture. Each evening they had a fire where they would roast some corn or sweet potato for us. They really aim to please and make you have a great experience. The bamboo bungalow was beautiful and handmade. If you are thinking about booking.. do it now! You won’t regret it.

Wow what an absolute hidden gem. Loved our stay here, the place and room is amazing, the staff is the most friendly ever we even got a beautiful life guitar play during our dinner. The food is also delicious. Once we’re back in Lombok we’ll definitely stay here again.

However, food is usually brought to your porch or the common area directly next to the Bungalows. The owner, Ron, provides many tours through Tetebatu and the surrounding handicraft villages. We went ricefield trekking with him, swam in a waterfall, and saw the seldom wild black monkeys - it was terrific! Moreover, delicious breakfast is included, and all staff members are charming. From your Bungalow (and also from a hammock close by), you have an incredibly stunning view over Ron's garden and the rice fields surrounding it, and from the side of the Bungalows, you can see the famous Mount Rinjani (if it is not cloudy, haha).

First of all it has a pool! Literally such a rare thing to find in Mataram and especially in this price range. But most of all it's the great service they have to offer. Chris, his wife and team are all such lovely welcoming people. And being an Aussie, me and Chris enjoyed some great chats. Was really great to find another English speaker in somewhere like Mataram - and he really know the place well, along with greater Lombok. Otherwise, the bed and room were super comfortable and the aesthetic of the outside chill/common area is beautiful. Will definitely stay there again next time I'm in town. 😊 He even has cider in the fridge!! ❤️
