Hiro was exceptionally helpful and attentive to our needs despite our late-night check in - he even woke up to send us off early in the morning! Would 100% recommend this place :)

We felt very comfortable in the old Japanese style room. The room and common spaces were very spacious, well-cleaned, and very comfortable. We are surprised that the amenities and services were great and they had everything. You won't have any trouble staying here. The owner was very kind and attentive. We don't think you could find a better place to stay than here. We will definitely choose this place next time again !

Hotel Taiken Inn Nijojo is a 100-year-old traditional machiya wooden townhouse, which used to be involved in traditional Nishijin-ori weaving before renovation into an accommodation.

Guests will find a Television in the common area. There is a shared kitchen on site. Bicycle hire is available at an additional charge, on a first-come-first-served basis. There are 4 bicycles on site. We stayed in “the Villa”. The actual living quarters for what was an old silk trading business. Definitely had the feel of “Old Japan,” but was surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. We loved it!
