Boasting a garden, a shared lounge as well as a terrace, Narrara Backpackers Hobart is set in the centre of Hobart, 1.6 km from Short Beach. Located around 2.9 km from Lords Beach, the hostel with free WiFi is also 1.2 km away from Hobart Convention And Entertainment Centre. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests.

Mo goes above and beyond for the comfort of the guest and is very welcoming. Heaters in the room are very helpful in the winter and Mo even went out of his way to put an extra little heater when I was in the common area alone and asked if I wanted it closer to me. The way he takes care of the plants in the living room is another super cute detail that adds a home like feeling to the place. The location is perfect as it was walking distance to the center as well as the Skybus to/from airport and very quiet. The common area feels like a home living room and the kitchen is well equipped although it feels a bit small when there are a few people in there simultaneously but it wasn’t always full. It is also well maintained as there was housekeeping on a daily basis.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location right by Elizabeth Street. My room had a new bathroom which was nice. Room has a coffee machine (Nespresso Dolce) Bed felt new. This is a no-frills type of hotel, reflected in its price : relatively cheap and cheerful

Not really a hostel at all except the sleeping arrangements. More like a home from home. Maybe a 'hostel for grown ups' with really lovely features and a great location.
