Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Jasper Downtown Hostel offers accommodation in Jasper city centre.

This property offers both dorm style and private bedrooms. Select room offer ensuite bathrooms.

The location is perfect, i'd say the best location in Jasper, as it is next to a shop for renting bikes (which makes it much easier, as Jasper does not have a transport system to take you to the entrance of the tourist attractions). The hostel has a super friendly staff ready to serve you. Also, the kitchen is super organized and the bathrooms were always clean, except for one guest who shaved his beard and left a lot of hair in the sink PS: there will always be guests with no respect for other people.

This is a back-to-basics wilderness hostel - We now have 2 private rooms, 2 mixed dorms, no showers, and no flush toilets. That said, it's a great place. A large common lodge with fireplace and lounge, friendly and personable staff, and a great location. We have purified drinking water, full cooking facilities, refrigerator, stoves and electricity.

The property was in a lovely spot close to nature. The fire pit was sensational. Lots of laughs and good times. Even saw the northern lights. The hosts T and Lou were superb, very helpful and social.

Poised alongside the Maligne River, just above the spectacular depths of Maligne Canyon, this serene hostel is an all-season destination. Travelers will enjoy an array of hiking, cycling, and cross-country skiing trails. The nearby Skyline Trail offers one of Jasper National Park's most scenic hikes.

We had a great time at the hostel! The dorm room was cosy and clean, and even had an electricity outlet. Despite no running water at the hostel, we were able to shower at the HI Hostel in Jasper town. Linen and pillows were also provided . The detached location in the wildlife movement corridor around Jasper really allowed us to disconnect and experience the nature.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

The hostel looked new and clean. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed. (We got a private room) The mattress is not the comfiest (and I didn’t expect it to be) but apart from that it had nothing less than a good hotel. It actually had more , the common area, the kitchen and an infrared sauna!!
