That was a really nice hotel in Chengdu, and I'd probably go back there if I ever go back to Chengdu. The rooms were really large and bright, the personal was very sweet and patient. The location is right in front of the exit of the Metro line 3, which is super practical. It's also about 10-15mn walk to Chunxi road, and a Metro stop to another area down south that had lots of restaurants. Of course, the entire city is accessible by metro.

I had such a wonderful stay. If you're open minded and willing to meet local people, it's such a great place to make local friends who are working/studying in Chengdu and some speak English and want to practice! I was able to make friends and eat Hot pot with them. The main floor is clean and an old man, maybe the owner, cleans every morning. There's always water available. The location is great!

Only 3 minutes' walk from the Temple of Marquis Wu (Wu Hou Ci), Holly's Hostel in Chengdu provides affordable dormitory and private rooms with free Wi-Fi. A pool table and bicycle rentals are available. The on-site restaurant serves Chinese food.

The hostel is located in a very interesting alley surrounded by tibetan shops and it is right next to a temple you can go and visit as well. From there you can reach the city centre easily on foot or with the metro. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable with good WiFi. Since it is in a secondary alley it is also very quiet. I think the lady at the reception can also speak a bit of English but we mainly talked in Chinese. I also had breakfast there and it was really good (chinese style breakfast) with mantou, rice, a few vegetables, soups, tea and eggs. The staff also helped me book a place for the Sichuan Opera (do it well in advanced if you want good spots, in tourist season it is hard to find any seats at all) and I also booked a mahjong lesson with them and it was super fun, you basically play with the staff for at least 3 hours and get complimentary tea and fruit.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Must say I expected more of a chatty environment in the bar downstairs but it was relatively quiet during our stay. Partly due to off season, partly due to some renovations happening to the rooms. Still the best hostel vibe we’ve found on our trip in China so far

Great great great location. Lots of local places to eat around for any wallet. Unlike any other hotel/hostel we stayed at in China they left slippers for taking shower. The staff is friendly. We had fresh towels and empty trash bin every day.

Great location in a quiet, safe neighborhood (across the street from a school!) but central enough to tourist hotspots. Amenities were basic but great, really clean, comfortable beds and room layout, and it was relaxing to hang out on the roof deck.
