Located in Sanya, 200 metres from Dadonghai Beach, Summer Tree Inn (The Captain's Hostel) provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The property is around 48 km from Nanshan Temple, 3.1 km from Luhuitou Park and 11 km from Sanya Railway Station. Guests can enjoy American and Chinese dishes at the restaurant or have a cocktail at the bar.

We were three people and stayed for 4 nights. We had such a good time here! I think this is the perfect place to stay, if you are young and want to enjoy the beach in Sanya but still want to have authentic chinese local food and don't want to spend too much money on luxury hotels etc. The trip to the beach is about 10 minutes, because there is a little trail, where you can walk down to a sandy beautiful and clean beach. We spent two whole days at the beach and it was not overcrowded, even though the weather was really nice (I think most of the Chinese people stay somewhere else or just don't sunbathe there the whole day). And we had almost every meal in any of the little restaurants in the streets behind our hotel, which was so good, very cheap and just the local food places where all the local people go to. So much better and cheaper than the stuff they sell at the beach. This hotel is close to some of the big luxury hotels but in a small side street, that's why the price is a lot better and you have access to local food. The hotel room itself was nice and clean, it was cleaned every day and there was enough room for us three to open up our three big suitcases. Sweets and slippers were provided by the hotel and towels were changed every day. The shower is in the same room as the toilet without any curtains or anything like it often is in China, it's no big deal if you're used to it. The owners of the hotel are soo nice and sweet as well and we enjoyed our stay also because of their warm hospitality! They gave us food to try multiple times, made sure we had everything we needed, and helped us with organising Chinese written stuff as well. All in all they were very sweet, very helpful and it was just so enjoyable to stay here! Thank you for everything :)

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location for accessing the duty free shop and visit Atlantis. Super beautiful and secluded private beach. The service was very good. We could get a crib and a step chair for our toddler. The kids center is also very nice. lots of activities.

Great staff, that speaks some english, great amenities, nice swimming pool, sea is 2 minute walk from hofel. Room was clean and very nice. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were sound proof enough so that airport nearby would not be a problem for sleep.

Breakfast was great, there were lots of variety every day to choose from, including an egg and noodle station. Staff were attentive and texted us when the rooms were ready. We especially like the Meituan lockers outside the hotel that made delivery convenient and safe.

The hotel has a great location at the Sanya Bay, easily accessible to city center shopping markets, restaurants, and beach. It has one of the busiest beach around with many people playing there. It has the best view of Sanya Bay.
