I very much enjoyed my stay at The View Hostel & Lounge. The staff was exceptional.  They accommodated my very late arrival, seeing me to my "private room booking" quickly for some much needed sleep.  The breakfast was authentic and tasty.  The facilities are clean and very well kept (daily). The private suite I booked was fully functional, including TV, great air conditioning, clean linens, hot water for the shower, a safe for my valuables and plenty of power outlets. The management and reception went out of their way to provide information about local festivities and sites to visit.  They even provided me access to group Salsa lessons that were very enjoyable, even with my 2 left feet 😁 The View is nestled in the hills with a wonderful overlook of the city from a rooftop balcony.  Though my stay was not long enough to take advantage of, they have a bar and patios offering many refreshments, spa & massage services onsite upon request, along with private Salsa lessons in a basement dance hall.  The pool is a refreshing break to the humidity of Cali, and is well attended to. This is my new go-to place when I am in Cali, and will suggest to any of my friends visiting. I tip my hat to Sandra, manager Jose, Johan & Daniel in reception, and all other staff.  Very warm & friendly. For sure, new amigos & amigas. Amazing staff. I am travelling long term and unexpectedly got quite sick when I arrived. The team took such good care of me, making me soup and hot tea when they noticed I hadn’t left my room or eaten. I am travelling alone and I felt so grateful that I was staying in a place with such generous and kind spirited people. Made me feel way less alone. Plus all the facilities and great and clean. Great atmosphere, comfortable room (with fan which was great given the humid weather), decent wifi, awesome salsa classes (free and private). Hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Jorge who made sure all my requests were attended to in most efficient manner. There is plenty of activities organized by the hosts so something's happening pretty much every day and there's never a dull moment. An excellent party hostel to have a great time in Cali. Would definitely recommend.
