Very nice place. The owner is incredibly sweet and accommodating. You have a nice little 3 bedroom 4 bathroom house with well equipped kitchen and central sitting area, and a patio with lounge chairs. Or you can hang out up at the restaurant terrace and enjoy the pretty little view. Beds are firm but comfy, the showers aren’t overly hot, but good and clean, and the jacuzzi more than makes up for it. I loved spending mornings and evenings in the jacuzzi. In the mornings you have a chance to see the beautiful Barranquero Andino birds that come to visit. I saw 2:) The included Breakfast was great, many choices, and everything I meal I had to eat here was so delicious. Also some nice and reasonably priced craft beers and other bevies at the bus bar/restaurant. The location is easy to get to and from as it’s on the main road….a 3000 peso jeep ride to the drop off at La Piedra, and a little more to Guatapé or to El Peńol town. Not a very walkable location, the shoulders are tight, best to jeep it. If you decide to stay elsewhere, come at least for breakfast lunch or dinner and have a crepe:) So good!

Let me start by saying, that Jessica is a very warm, kind person. She allowed me to check-in earlier. The location of the hostel for me was great, between the Piedra del Peñol rock, and the city center Guatape, which is actually still jammed with arriving/departing motorbikes/cars/buses. I was walking to the city center in less than 10 minutes. The room, bathroom and kitchen were clean, tidy. The bed was comfortable and solid. Wifi signal was better than I expected. Price is great. From the balcony of the hostel there is a beautiful view of the rock and lakes. It was definitely an enjoyable stay!

This is a must stay... In the heart of Guatape. The manager Juan was very welcoming and professional. They offer free coffee and a kitchen to use. Blazing fast internet, clean rooms and a smoke free hotel.

The hostel is near a lake, with lots of greenery around. But it is also only a 10 minute work away from the centre of Guatape. Therefore, I was able to make the best of both the tranquil nature and the city. The hostel staff, and the family associated with the hostel, are all very helpful, kind and warm. The family work hard because they want to create positive experiences for guests, and I believe they succeed in this regard. The hostel has a lovely outdoor yoga area. I used it to do yoga, qigong and meditation. I really appreciated being able to do these exercises while enjoying fresh air and nature at the same time. The hostel has delicious breakfasts. There is also variety with slightly different breakfasts each day. The hostel also provides coffee and tea all day. I appreciated this touch. If I return to Guatape then this hostel will be my first choice.
