We like how cute the place and it speak its character. The location is just few mins away from the main square and the bus station. The host/reception is very helpful and kind same with the other staff. Really love our stay here and we wanted to extend our stay but they were already fully booked.

Great property in a lovely location. 45 minutes on foot from Salento or a short Jeep or taxi ride away. This is a perfect place to come and reset from all of the chaos that some of the bigger cities in Colombia offer. Coming here was one of the best decisions that we have made on our Colombia trip. The elephant rock horse ride with Diego and Guillermo was an unforgettable experience which I could not recommend booking enough. The staff are all lovely, highly attentive and are happy to help in any way which they can. The breakfast is amazing and hearty and both times we ate dinner, the food was spot on. We’d recommend the trout in garlic paired with a nice glass, or bottle, of vino blanco! The hot chocolate at breakfast. Amazing! We did the Cocora valley loop trail in 4hrs (inclusive of a stop). We hike quite regularly, this trail was great, at times not so well signposted but we got round after a detour or two. We’d class it as a moderate trail, with two pay booths along the way and also facilities to buy drinks etc if needed. We walked from the reserve to Salento and picked a Jeep up to take us to the trail head. Finca Ocaso was the coffee tour that we took (also via Jeep from Salento. And Filandia is a trip well worth recommending especially on Saturday or Sunday when the locals are all out- just be sure to book your Jeep from Salento in advance as this service can sell out pretty quickly. 10/10 for Reserva Guadalajara

Our stay at Casa Mochila was amazing. Pat was very kind and helped us with everything we needed. We also got cake for my birthday. We would reccomend everyone to stay here. It is very easy to catch the bus to Salento in front of the hostel, just wave to the driver and they will stop for you. The breakfast in the morning is very tasty! If you want to chill here; there are very nice hammocks available. 10/10 points for this place and the service!

The hosts are a lovely couple who take the time to explain everything there is to do in the area (along with a map) and prepare a nice small breakfast with great coffee. The bathroom, although private, is not adjacent to the room (It didn’t bother me). Overall very clean, good location, laundry service, small breakfast, amazing hosts and great value for money, definitely recommend!!

I felt really welcomed by the owners and staff. It's a great place for those who enjoy the nature and tranquility. We booked one of the smaller rooms, but it was beautiful, clean and well-maintained. We were greeted with a cup of delicious coffee and bowl of fresh fruits, the owner showed us their spacious garden, bunnies and birds, it's a good place to relax and connect with nature. There's a small restaurant just steps away and it's a perfect spot if you want to get away from the crowded town of Salento.

My friends and I got a private suite for the three of us, which was very affordable. It included free breakfast, which was very filling. The view was amazing and so was the environment. Happyhour at the bar made it easy to make friends. The staff was helpful and the room was very comfortable, I would recommend this hostel to anyone, it was a great experience.
