Everything. Spacious, clean, super social hostel with great staff and owner who's around every day to help and give advice. Beds were really comfortable, great bar and food at reasonable prices. The roof top is a great spot for sunset and chilling. The hostel is right next to the beach. Its about 10-15 minutes into the bars and clubs which i prefered. I stayed here twice, i left to travel and returned as i missed it. I stayed in the 10 bed dorm, female dorm and private room. All were spacious and comfortable. Left Room2board with great memories, some new life long friends and the intention to return.

The place was clean and tidy, hit all the basic needs. Staff was friendly and helpful. I looked forward to gallo pinto,scrambled eggs, fried plantains, toast, and fruit each morning. The open air rooftop cafe was great for breakfast, and a sweet place to hang out in the evening, too. A quick walk to the beach, 24/7 convenience store with made-to-order fresh fruit smoothies, iced coffee, etc, right downstairs. I felt safe and secure, as a woman there alone for 6 days/5 nights. The reviews I read ahead of time indicated that the beds are memory foam pads on wood frames, and not very forgiving. I brought my own sheets, and while the bed wasn’t too comfortable, I would totally make the same plans to stay here again in a heartbeat. The AC and hot shower were the crowning touch. This would not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it was perfect for me and my travel needs.

There were great food promos each day, generous happy hour times and prices, and the AC at night was an absolute lifesaver. I felt extremely safe at this hostel as both a young woman and a foreigner, and my friends and I were very sad to leave. A couple of us are even considering going back to work there!!

Felt like I was living in the Florida Project. The value for money is amazing and the staff were so lovely. The room was clean and felt safe. It's such a welcoming and homely place to stay. The room was clean but very basic. The furniture was cheap, wardrobe were plastic etc and we had to change room as the bed was broken. If you are traveling on a budget I'd imagine this place is better than a hostel but I wish we had paid more and stayed else where as I was expecting better from what the other reviews had said.

Sitting and laying around pool in the evening was really nice, surronded by lights and nature. Volontiers were nice.
