The terrace is nicely decorated with a great view of the city. Dinners every night were delicious and the staff/ owners were friendly. My bed and room was comfortable with nice hot shower.

Even in the hostel you can enjoy some of the animals. You can cuddle with the cats, and there are some dogs. Even with the animals there, the hostel is super clean! The facilities are basic but good. It's a very nice place to meet new people and explore the city.

Also a big plus is that you have a small supermarket next to the entrance, and also a nice spot to have some breakfast and lunch. It's also pretty easy to walk to the city center of Mindelo. It's like a 15 min walk. Even at night we felt safe. Taxi is like 5 minutes and it never took that long to get one. We would stay in sao Pedro rather than Mindelo. Great for walking to the airport. The staff put breakfast out so we could eat before our very early flight. This is a home and you are welcomed and trusted in it. Comfortable bed.
