Nice hostel near to the ocean area. Super friendly and helpfull staff, decent breakfast in a friendly atmosphere with the other guests. We were travelling by car and there a a few parking garages nearby. The old town is just a short walk to enjoy the pintxos San Sebastian has to offer. San Sebastian is a great city, this time we were only passing through. Can recommend both the hostel and the city.

Balea Hostel is set in San Sebastián, 3.5 km from Victoria Eugenia Theatre and 3.8 km from Calle Mayor. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is situated 2.8 km from La Concha Beach.

The guy at the reception was very kind and helpful. He answered all my questions and I felt welcome. The rooms have a normal size but they weren't crowded. It was hot, but it was pleasant, because there was a de-humidifier in the room, which helps a lot! Also a lot of fans. Comfy beds, yes they shake a bit but in a normal range :) Nice clean bathroom and showers. Although it is far away from the centre, there is a bus that takes you to the city. The hostel was cheap so I didn't mind the distance.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Comfortable, capsule-type beds, great kitchen facilities, very clean, and friendly staff. The location is also perfect near the bus station and on the edge of the old town.

The casitas offered more privacy than a normal hostel room with bunk beds. It was surprisingly quiet for the fact that there are 28 casitas in the room (however, I don't know how busy it was so I'm not sure how many were actually there). Good amount of showers and WCs. Nice that there was always tea and coffee for free.

Great location, its not in the main part of San Sebastian so its not loud at night but close enough to the main surf beach. Cool surf vibe of the hostel and it attracts an older crowd who is not necessarily there to just party. Awesome lounge and kitchen area.

Great location and fantastic sound proofing of windows. Bonus to have a pedestrianised street outside, on a street with lots of trees and the side view of the church.

Best thing is the spacious living room and kitchen area, where it is possible for guests to cook their own meals. Quiet part of the city Instructions for late check in if arriving during the last hour or later Hostel is from the cheaper price range in the outer regions of the city Didn't expect much, got what I paid for in this nice town

The bed was comfortable (although it was 2 single beds, no double bed available) and the room wasn’t too small. The staff were friendly. Great location for the beach and old town area. There is a safe in the room, with a key that you keep with you. Basic breakfast of croissants and bread/jam included in the price.

Great location and easy to get around. The apartment was well furnished to a high standard and had everything in the kitchen I needed. Laundry arrangements were excellent (washer and separate tumble dryer). Our hosts were easy to contact and very responsive. Self check-in was easy enough, though somewhat more complex than a simple key safe (you need to download an app in advance for initial access, thereafter its via keys that are found in the apartment).
