The Oliver St. John Gogarty hostel is situated in the heart of Dublin’s cultural quarter, Temple Bar. The hostel offers private and shared accommodation with free WiFi and breakfast included.

There is secure 24-hour parking next to the hostel, where guests can receive discounted rates.

The location is in the heart of Temple Bar. Had a Private room in the hostel. Room was small and clean, it met expectations. The window view was into the pub. If you are sensitive to noise it might not be the spot for you. It did not bother us. Elevator was helpful. Breakfast was okay. Options limited and it can get crowded. Staff very willing to be helpful.

The staff was really nice and helpful. It was my first time staying at a hostel and now I can't wait to go back. Besides, the people at my room were really friendly, obviously that is going to change every time, but the general atmosphere of the place really helped out on that.

I liked the bar, game area and the general infrastructure of the building. The staff was also really kind and helpful when we had questions about the bus tickets and how to get to the airport. It is also really nice to meet new people at the hostel. Also the location of the hostel is amazing since a lot of things in the centre are in walking distance. Furthermore, they clean the rooms every single day.

Felt safe in my room as a female travelling alone for work. Doors locked from the inside (this is strangely uncommon on budget hotels). Great location. GREAT restaurant downstairs for a convenient supper.

The apartment was perfect for our family. It was clean upon arrival. The location was perfect for us. Near the airport but we were not bothered by the noise of the planes flying around since there was good sound proof within the apartment. Continuous hot water supply. The apartment was stocked with supplies for refuse like bin bags, dish washing liquid soap, dishwasher pods, cutlery, etc. More importantly, the apartment was secure and we felt safe. Parking for a day was only €5 and very affordable.

Staff were super friendly and approachable and met some really great people here. A very social hostel with daily events like walking tours, pub quizzes, and bar crawls. Curtains and lights at every bed and a full length mirror in the room. Breakfast was simple (cereal, toast, some cold meat, and cheese) but free. Great location to explore from and felt safe walking back at night. Also very easy to get the airport bus to and fro.

Best hostel I have ever stayed in. Really clean and comfortable. The bunk bed set up is brilliant - all feels very private and safe. It was quiet at night, I never had to queue for the showers and the lounge / dining and study rooms are excellent. It’s a short walk into town and right by a bus stop. Lots of nice places to eat and drink just minutes away.

Great location - right in the heart of Dublin / next to one of the main bust stops. The price/quality ratio is, in my opinion, best in Dublin. Even though it is located near the main street, there was no problem with street noise. Surely it is more a hostel than a hotel so do not expect any fireworks, but it had everything in its place. We were accommodated in a single room with bathroom, however, as I understand, there are more joint rooms in the offer. There were a lot of backpackers in the big lobby.
